Boren Awards Info Session

Thursday, September 27 @ 5:00 pm in 102 Moore College

UGA’s Boren Awards campus representative will be presenting information about the Boren Scholarships and Fellowships, which provide up to $30,000 funding for U.S. students to study languages, geographic areas, and disciplines critical to U.S. national security (broadly defined) and underrepresented in study abroad. Russian is one of the languages eligible for funding.

There is a minimum one-year government service requirement for Boren recipients after graduation. This award is an excellent “in” for careers in the federal government that require skills in critical languages.

The session will include a formal presentation followed by Q&A and good eats.

To be sure there's enough space and food, students may register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScgKz3AaDw6VGpo8LvlsNtQfNPOIpk8uJ9fO-Awlh1hPsbLvQ/viewform
