Two Germanic & Slavic Studies Faculty earn promotions

Dr. Alexander Sager, head of the Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies at the University of Georgia, is pleased to announce the promotion of two faculty members, effective Fall 2020.

Congratulations to Dr. Alexander (Sasha) Spektor, for his promotion to Associate Professor with tenure. Dr. Spektor also serves as the Russian Program Coordinator. His research interests include 19th- and 20th-century Russian prose and poetry.

Congratulations are also due to Dr. Katie Chapman for her promotion to Senior Lecturer. Dr. Chapman is the is the co-coordinator of the German and Engineering Dual Degree program, and is also coordinator of the German Language Program.
