Image: Join us in celebrating our very own Dr. Victoria Hasko, who has been named the recipient of the 2026 Richard Reiff Award for Campus Internationalization. The award recognizes individuals at the University of Georgia whose work significantly advances international education and global engagement across campus. The Richard Reiff Award honors the legacy of Richard Reiff, a former vice provost for international affairs who championed the importance of global learning and international collaboration throughout his career. Dr. Hasko, professor and director of UGA’s Russian Flagship Program, has played a leading role in expanding international learning opportunities for students while strengthening the university’s global academic partnerships. Under her leadership, the Russian Flagship Program has grown into the largest program of its kind in the United States, providing students with intensive language instruction, immersive study experiences, and pathways to professional-level proficiency. Her work reflects a long standing commitment to preparing students for meaningful participation in an increasingly interconnected world. Through innovative curriculum design, mentorship, and collaboration with international partners, Dr. Hasko has helped foster cross cultural understanding while advancing language education at UGA. Our department congratulates Dr. Hasko on this well deserved honor and celebrates her continued contributions to international education, language learning, and global engagement in our department and all across UGA!
