Double Dawgs: Dual Degree in German
As part of the new Double Dawgs initiative launched by Franklin College, the Department of Germanic & Slavic Studies offers a 5-year, dual degree program in German, granting both a bachelor's and a master's degree. The Double Dawgs program is designed to allow top undergraduates with highly developed skills in the German language and in cultural competency to accelerate their course of study, beginning graduate coursework already in their fourth undergraduate year. In addition to the opportunity to enroll in advanced, graduate-level courses in German literature and linguistics, the German MA program provides valuable training in German language instruction, under the mentorship and supervision of our full-time faculty. In support of graduate study, the German program offers tuition remission and a stipend for graduate Teaching Assistants, with the additional possibility for funding for summer study abroad.
Those interested in applying for the German Double Dawgs Program may do so by completing the following application, and submitting it to Dr. Joshua Bousquette.
If you have any questions about the dual BA/MA in German program, please email our Graduate Coordinator, Dr. Joshua Bousquette, at firstname.lastname@example.org
