Study Abroad in Germany

If you are interested in studying abroad next summer, you can check out the following programs:

• LBAT offered by GA Tech (8 weeks, 9 credits). Director: Dr. Bettina Cothran
• Oldenburg Program offered by West GA (10 weeks, up to 12 credits). Begins in early May but UGA students may possibly arrive a week later. Director: Dr. John Blair
• Innsbruck Program offered by UGA and University of Orleans (offering first and third semester German course only).
• Bonn program offered by the European Council of the University System of Georgia.
• Deutscher Akademischer Auslandsdienst (DAAD) offers 3-4 week long summer courses in Germany with course and partial travel grant.

Other possibilities include taking courses at the Goethe Institute or other language schools in Germany , Austria or Switzerland (search online).

Please note that you are eligible to apply for a departmental Kicklighter Travel Grant if you are a German major and are taking German language courses abroad in an academic setting.
