__________________________________________________ Steuben-Schurz-Gesellschaft
The Steuben-Schurz-Gesellschaft (SSG) is Germany 's oldest German-American friendship organization and offers internships to American students. SSG is a non-profit organization, co-financed by the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt and the Hessen Ministry, and only charges a modest placement fee.
The positions cover a broad range of fields, including business, international relations, PR, media, the natural sciences and the humanities. The level and range of tasks depends on the participants' language and academic background, as well as their commitment and motivation.
Previous interns were placed, for instance, at Auswärtiges Amt (Foreign Office), BusinessWeek ( Europe ), Checkpoint Charlie Foundation, Deutsche Bank, Hessen Ministry for Social Affairs, German Red Cross, Adam Opel, Siemens, SPD Fraction Frankfurt, and Wicke Attorneys at Law.
Internships typically begin in late May, last for 2-3 months, and might be paid depending on field and non-profit or profit-sector.

SSG charges 75 Euro for its placement services, which includes an orientation session in Frankfurt and initial assistance with finding housing.

Transatlantic Program
The Transatlantic Program offers (mostly) paid internships of various lengths in Germany . Students of business, engineering and international relations are carefully matched to internship positions in their respective fields of study throughout Germany . The program includes language instruction, intercultural training and fieldtrips to German companies. ________________________________________________________

AISEC is a student-run, international organization which places students in international internships.

CDS International
CDS International is an organization that supports intercultural understanding through international exchange and professional development programs in Germany , Russia , and other countries. The program offerings include internships, professional fellowships, and work-study programs. For instance, the web site contains information about the prestigious Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX), and Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship, and Émigré Memorial German Internship Program (EMGIP) for internships at German State Parliaments.

German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC)
For a state-side summer-internship in a predominantly German-speaking business working environment consider applying for work at the German American Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta. These internships are awarded on a competitive basis. They are paid positions with an additional stipend by our department, the Kicklighter Chamber of Commerce Scholarship.
