German Studies Minor

Requirements (15 hours total)

GRMN 2002, GRMN 3010 or GRMN 3070, plus 9 additional hours of 3000/4000-level GRMN courses (excluding GRMN 3500), one of which may be a GRMN course taught in English translation. All courses used to satisfy the minor requirement must be passed with a grade of C (2.0) or better.

At least 9 of the 15 semester hours required for the minor must be earned in residence. Students may receive resident credit for University-sponsored study abroad programs for which course registration and fee payment are effected through the University. Students participating in other study abroad programs must petition to transfer credits.

Students who place higher than GRMN 2002  upon college admission must complete 15 hours of upper-division GRMN  courses for the minor. Credit granted through the German language placement exam or the Advanced Placement German Language exam cannot be counted towards completion of the minor requirements.

Minors are strongly encouraged to enroll in GRMN 2300  - Introduction to German Culture Studies.

Entrance Requirements, Prerequisites:
Completion of GRMN 2001 or equivalent.
